LMSW, LGPC Holistic Mental Health & Wellness Therapist/ Level I Supervisor

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

HOLISTIC MENTAL HEALTH & WELLNESS

 Your job responsibilities will include:

 1. Assessment and Diagnosis: Conducting comprehensive assessments to understand clients' mental health concerns, exploring their physical, emotional, social, and spiritual aspects. You will use diagnostic tools to identify mental health disorders and develop individualized treatment plans.

 2. Therapy and Treatment: Providing individual, couples, family, and/or group therapy sessions that integrate traditional therapeutic techniques with holistic approaches such as yoga, meditation, mindfulness, energy psychology, nutrition, and exercise. You will help clients explore and resolve deep-seated emotional concerns, traumas, relationship issues, and personal development goals.

 3. Holistic Interventions: Incorporating alternative therapies such as art therapy (i.e. healing arts), music therapy, aromatherapy, acupuncture, energy healing, herbal remedies, nature therapy and other complementary modalities as part of the treatment plan. The aim is to address the whole person – mind, body, and spirit, and promote the discovery/emergence of the authentic-self.

 4. Lifestyle Modification Coaching: Assisting clients in making positive lifestyle changes such as adopting healthy eating habits, improving sleep patterns, managing stress, and developing self-care/wellness routines and much more. You will educate clients on the interconnectedness between their mental health and physical well-being.

 5. Collaborative Approach: Coordinating care with other healthcare professionals, such as psychologists, psychiatrists, nutritionists, physical therapists, and other providers. Collaboration ensures a comprehensive and integrated approach to clients' mental health and wellness needs.

 6. Advocacy and Education: Raising awareness about holistic mental health and wellness through community workshops, seminars, and blogs. You will educate clients on self-empowerment, promoting resilience, and maintaining a balanced life.

 7. Ethical Conduct: Adhering to professional ethics and maintaining client confidentiality. You are responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of your clients by providing ethical and competent care.

 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

LEVEL I SUPERVISOR

 As a supervisor therapist for interns and lower-level licensed clinicians, your primary role is to provide clinical guidance, support, and oversight to these clinicians as they develop their professional skills and enhance their clinical practice. You will serve as a mentor, educator, and consultant to help ensure quality client care and professional growth for the therapists under your supervision.

 Your job responsibilities will include:

 1. Clinical Supervision: Provide regular individual and/or group supervision sessions to interns and lower-level licensed clinicians, where you will review and discuss their client cases, treatment plans, and clinical interventions. You will offer guidance, feedback, and support to help clinicians assess client progress, enhance their therapeutic skills, and maintain ethical and professional standards.

 2. Professional Development: Support the ongoing professional development of interns and lower-level licensed clinicians by assisting them in identifying areas for growth, setting goals, and providing resources and training opportunities. You will encourage therapists to stay updated on evidence-based practices, research, and current trends in the field.

 3. Case Consultation: Offer case consultation to interns and lower-level clinicians, helping them navigate complex cases, develop effective treatment strategies, and address challenging client issues. You will provide guidance in assessing client needs, formulating diagnoses, and developing appropriate interventions to ensure the best possible outcomes.

 4. Ethical Oversight: Ensure that interns and lower-level licensed therapists adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards in their practice. You will promote ethical decision-making and support clinicians in navigating ethical dilemmas and potential conflicts of interest.

 5. Relationship Building: Foster a supportive and collaborative relationship with interns and lower-level licensed clinicians, creating a safe and open space for them to express concerns, seek guidance, and share successes and challenges. You will build a strong foundation of trust, respect, and professionalism, promoting a positive and growth-oriented supervisory experience.

 6. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and confidential records of supervision sessions, including notes and evaluations, in compliance with legal and professional requirements. You will also provide periodic reports on interns' progress and competency to relevant institutions, such as internship program directors and/or supervisors.

 7. Continuous Quality Improvement: Participate in ongoing quality improvement efforts by providing feedback and recommendations for program development, policy enhancements, and best practices in supervision. You will contribute to creating a supportive and effective clinical environment that promotes professional growth and client well-being.

 QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

 - Hold an advanced mental health degree (e.g., Master's or Doctorate) and an active, unrestricted license as a mental health professional (e.g., LMSW, LGPC,).

- Demonstrated clinical expertise and experience in providing therapy services and working with diverse populations within the specific field of practice.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster a supportive supervisory relationship and effectively collaborate with team members.

- Strong knowledge of ethical guidelines and legal requirements for mental health practice.

- Proficient in organizational and time-management skills to manage supervision schedules, maintain required documentation, and meet deadlines.

- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with developments in the field through regular training and learning opportunities.


Note: In addition to the base salary rate, all supervisors will receive a percentage of the session fee charged per each client that their supervisee holds a session with.

SALARY

$60,000 - $65,000 per year
